Biofeedback is a therapeutic procedure where information about the mind and body is provided to an individual through visual and auditory processing. Biofeedback utilizes computers and painless adhesive skin sensors to accurately measure, process, and provide “feedback” to patients about their physiological state
Biofeedback measures provide valuable information about stress and tension on the mind and body. This includes:
Our goal is to help the client develop greater awareness and voluntary control over these physiological processes that are usually outside their awareness and control. With biofeedback therapy, as the patient learns to become more aware and in control of these processes, they learn to decrease the symptoms that cause them discomfort, pain, anxiety, dysfunction, and overall stress. The result is a dramatic improvement in their attention, health, mood, sleep and overall function and quality of life which ultimately leads to a healthier way of living.

Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) is a debilitating form of anxiety caused by extreme stress, trauma, and shock to the central nervous system. The results are often persistent chronic symptoms that can dramatically affect almost all aspects of one’s life, including work, social relationships, and mental wellness.
At the Center for Biofeedback and Peak Performance, we believe that while medication can certainly play an important role in the treatment process, a more powerful and effective way to reduce the symptoms of PTSD is to directly target the areas in the brain involved in trauma using a cutting-edge form of therapy called Neurofeedback.
Anxiety is a common disorder that results from one’s habitual and automatic responses to chronic stress. The stress may be psychological, physical, or environmental, but the impact is always detrimental and can sometimes be devastating.
Once a person gets locked into a pattern of anxiety or panic, it can be hard to break. Learning how to control and stop the chronic stress response by training your mind and body to relax can be more than transformative, it can be life-changing!
In our state-of-the-art facility, we have the unique ability to diagnose which of the eight types of ADD/ADHD are present. We will then customize an individualized biological treatment plan including EEG biofeedback (neurofeedback) to train the brain to work better, resulting in less impulsivity and emotional reaction, with improved concentration, memory, and organizational skills.
Surveys of health professionals using neurofeedback to treat ADD/ADHD, estimate that over 85% of their patients reported improved ability to focus, regulate behavior, and decrease impulsivity training on a consistent schedule. Training your brain with neurofeedback, helps you learn to become focused and calm, yet alert and highly attentive. You will develop long-lasting self-control, creating valuable improvements in your life!
Chronic pain is more than a symptom. It is a debilitating condition that changes the brain’s structure, chemistry, and activity. For many people, even the strongest drugs can fail to control discomfort. The search for better pain management has led many doctors to use biofeedback as a successful treatment option. Identifying and learning how to change your brain’s response to pain can help ease your pain. Biofeedback therapy can be used in conjunction with other treatments as a safe and effective tool helping you to reduce the need for addictive pain medications. It is the most progressive, noninvasive method of pain treatment available today.
Many times, depression and mood disorders are
a result of the brain’s overactivation in one area
and underactivity in another this leads to chemical
imbalances and dysregulation of the autonomic
nervous system. Using brainwave technology, we
create a customized program to address your
symptoms and help you feel better.
